Mac Cosmetics has announced a new partnership to look forward to -- a collaboration with Beth Ditto according to WWD. MAC has just signed the the singer to created a limited edition collaboration with products that are expected to launch in June. Beth is known for her wild and colorful makeup. I'm wishing for fuchsia lips, colorful eyeshadow and intense eyeliner.

The Makeup Show Holiday Pop-Up Show took place this past December at the Metropolitan Pavilion. I attended the evening on Friday the 2nd. It was a smaller version of the regular makeup show with brands like Kevyn Aucoin, Stila Cosmetics, Crown Brush, Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics, Dermalogica, OCC, and many others. Brands were priced from 20% to 40% off. I hauled a bunch of goodies. Onto the photos.

Not only do they launch products in gorgeous packaging, but sometimes so is the product! Now what's better than pretty packaging?! Pretty packaging and a pretty product. Needless to say, Laura Mercier always has both. I was shocked at how stunning Laura Mercier's Rose Rendezvous Face Illuminator ($42) was and knew I had to have it. I love me a good highlighter and this was no exception. The Illuminator gives a soft rose gold shimmer and it build-able.

Laura Mercier is quickly becoming one of my go to cosmetic brands. They've got products that keep you coming back for seconds and each new collection gets better and better. I'm a huge fan of their tinted moisturizers, shimmer blocs, and concealers. Strangely enough --I had never tried their eye-shadows. Shame on me for not trying sooner and you'll see why shortly. I'm loving their limited edition luxe colour portfolio ($98) that launched Holiday 2011. It's got all the essentials -- eyeshadow, blush, eye liner & brushes. What more does a girl need?! Wait till you see the swatches...

I'm obsessed, in love, addicted  crazy about these Vincent Longo eye-shadows from his Holiday 2011 collection. They're beautiful and a definite must have for any beauty lover.

Lipstick Love: MAC Fleshpot

MAC Fleshpot  ($14.00) is one of those nude lipsticks that steals your heart. I'm such a sucker for an awesome nude and this one delivers. It's a permanent at MAC Pro stores and was recently a re-promote in a MAC collection from 2011. It's definitely more a pinky nude than my other favorite, Myth. Strangely, both look similar on me. Myth is still for my all time favorite, but Fleshpot makes a close second. BUT a warning to the wise, it is very nude, so it may not work on all skin tones. I definitely recommend a try before you buy  on this one.

When asked to review their new cosmetics line, I was really excited to see what they whipped up and I wasn't disappointed. Carey Mulligan is one of those actresses that captivates you with her beauty and skill. I remember when I first recognized her talent in the movie, "An Education." She's quickly rising to the top and has movies lined up for the coming year. I received my W Magazine for January 2012 and who do I see? None other than the lovely Carey on the cover. She looks stunning and the photos are absolutely breathtaking.

A Visit To The New Burberry Counter At Saks Fifth Avenue

I recently won a makeover and visit to the brand spanking new Burberry counter at Saks Fifth Avenue. I was assisted and beautified by the sweet and talented, Justin Tyme Hissey who taught me all about Burberry products and gave me a makeover. This was my first experience with Burberry beauty products and I have to say, it was a great one. All the products applied like a dream and just screamed luxury. Burberry definitely did it right. Even the lipsticks had special Burberry detail that would make any girl swoon. I will definitely be visiting again soon as their Spring Collection just launched (be still my beating heart!)

Spotlight On A Brand -- Mally Beauty

I recently stopped by Henri Bendel's for a quick event and spotted this gorgeous display of pink. A lover of pink for years, I had to take a closer look. The sign read "Mally" and I had to know who she was. I spoke with a few of her makeup artists and they told me more background information. Mally Beauty is a brand started by lovely celebrity makeup artist, Mally Roncal. Mally had an ability to make her clients not only look amazing, but feel amazing. This made her a quick favorite among stars like Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez, Mary J. Blige, Hayden Panettiere, Rihanna, Teri Hatcher, Celine Dio, Lee Ann Womack, and Ashlee Simpson.

With her success as a makeup artist, she decided to take it a step furthur. She set out to create a cosmetic line. With the introduction of the Mally Beauty makeup collection, Mally takes her messages of "Makeup is simply the accessory that allows soneone's true nature and beauty to outwardly manifest itself" and continues to make women everywhere see the beauty inside as well as out.
