LORAC Spring 2012 Collection Review & Swatches

Lorac Cosmetics recently launched their NEW Spring 2012 collection on Sephora online. The collection includes a natural palette, a highlighter & matte bronzer duo, new lip glosses & their popular TANalizer in a deep shade. I was really impressed with all the products in the launch and adore the packaging. Lorac is definitely known for their incredibly pigmented products and this collection is no different. I was most excited about the highlighter/matte bronzer duo that I got to play with at the preview launch a few months back. You can see those photos here. Let's take a closer look, shall we?

*LORAC Unzipped Palette ($40) -- "Get unzipped and unleash your natural beauty with LORAC's universally flattering nude eye shadow palette. Create unlimited head-turning looks with 10 ultra-rich, shimmering and matte shadows in a super sexy, nude palette. Use the included Behind the Scenes Eye Primer for crease-resistant, silky smooth color that lasts."

The set includes 10 x 0.04 eyeshadows in Undercover (matte nude), Unbelievable (cooper shimmer), Unattainable (bronze shimmer), Unconditional (matte fawn), Unbridled (matte merlot), Undiscovered (gold shimmer), Unreal (champagne shimmer), Uncensored (chocolate shimmer), Unspoken (matte sable), and Untamed (bordeaux shimmer) + 0.19 oz Behind The Scenes Eye Primer.

I'm definitely into the natural craze going around right now. Natural is always a hit on the eyes and matte shadows are right up there as well. I think it's smart that Lorac has matte and shimmer shadows in this palette so many looks can be achieved. It's also such great packaging. It's compact, so it's easy to travel and not too big or too small. Including a mini primer is genius as well since that primer is AMAZINGG. I mean, seriously if you haven't tried it, you need too. Move over Urban Decay Primer Potion!

Are you in love yet?  I'm loving all of the colors. I can't pick a favorite. There isn't one I dislike.

I'm actually considering picking up a backup (just in case). It's just perfection in a palette.

*LORAC TANtalizer Highlighter & Matte Bronzer Duo ($32) -- "Highlight, color, and contour with this versatile and easy-to-use duo. It contains a velvety smooth luminizing powder for professional-looking highlighting and a matte bronzing powder for perfectly contoured and bronzed cheeks. The glamorous mirrored compact makes this duo a perfect choice for on-the-go red carpet glow."

This duo comes in a mirrored rose gold compact that comes with a luminizer and a bronzer. The bronzer is a matte shade in deep tan and the luminizer is a shimmering champagne. This is definitely the stand out product for me. I've always been obsessed with any type of luminizer. I love that subtle glow and highlight they give to your face.

Quick Tip: Highlighters are used to give a radiant glow. Popular places to apply are to the brow bone and inner corners of the eye, down the bridge of the nose, across/on top the cheek bones and the cupid's bow.

This packaging is seriously made for me. I'm a huge lover of anything rose gold and the people at LORAC did it right. I love carrying this around with me. My only complaint would be that I wish it came with a little brush, but then the packaging wouldn't be as compact.

 MUST HAVE!!

*LORAC Lips With Benefits ($18) -- "A hydrating gloss infused with natural antioxidants to help nourish and protect lips."

It comes in seven shades: Mark, Nick, Chuck, Ben, Josh, Alex, & Chris. The color range goes from nude to hot pink. I received Josh and Mark for review, which are definitely shades for me! I'm planning to purchase the rest because they smell delicious (like creme brulee..) and are very long wearing. The texture is bit thick, but it's not annoyingly sticky. The texture helps to hydrate lips and wear for long periods of time. The formula is infused with a blend of antioxidants like Acai Berry, Pomegranate Extract and Vitamins C & E. I also love the high shine of them. Beautiful!

 I love the swirl design

Hello Mark!

Definitely check out the glosses as well-- you won't be sorry!

Rating for Collection: A+
