New Beauty | Hourglass Vanish Foundation, BeautyBlender Electric Violet Swirl

From a new liquid foundation to a 4-in-1 treatment mist, we're excited about all the new products launching in the beautysphere. Here's what on our radar this month.

Your favorite vegan, cruelty-free brand has just launched a new liquid foundation that’s full coverage with no primer required. It applies like a second skin, creating a smooth and flawless complexion. Light-reflecting micro-spheres blur and create a soft-focus finish, so skip the filter. The best part? The formula is waterproof, transfer-proof, and sweat-proof.

Rejuvenate and restore skin’s bounce while you sleep with Algenist GENIUS Sleeping Collagen. This buttery cream utilizes vegan active collagen and microalgae oil to plump skin. You’ll awaken to fresh, radiant, and renewed skin.

Get ready to glow with Stila’s Little White Lies Heavenly Highlighting Palette. The palette features three pearl-toned highlighters. The highlighters appear white in color, but each shade has an underlying tone – choose from pink, yellow or silver. The texture is a hybrid cream/powder that melts into skin. Shimmer-time!

We’re always excited when beautyblender unveils a new shade in their best-selling blending sponge. This radiant, purple hue is marbleized with white to brighten up any vanity. It features the same aqua-activated material as the original beautyblender for a flawless finish.

ELEMIS Superfood Kefir-Tea Mist, $33

This 4-in-1 treatment mist is infused with antioxidant rich Superfoods, including Rooibos Tea Extract and vegan, soy-derived Kefir Ferment to soothe and brighten the complexion. Organic Aloe Vera and Coconut Water help to balance the skin, leaving it beautifully hydrated with a healthy-looking glow.

Which new beauty product are you looking forward to trying?

#NYFW Backstage Beauty: Rebecca Minkoff S/S 2014

Pictures of Bianca Jagger in Mexico and Frida Kahlo lead to the inspiration for Rebecca Minkoff's S/S 2014 collection. She channeled this inspiration by creating feminine garments in bold print florals, embroidery, and bright colors. This influence was literally seen from head to toe, from the criss-cross headband braid by TRESemme to the skull nail art by Essie.

Make-Up by Stila Cosmetics:

Brows: Stay All Day Waterproof Color
Eyes: Smudge Stick Waterproof Eye Liner – Deep Burgundy (available Spring 14), Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner in Dark Brown, Kajal Eye Liner in Tigers Eye, and In The Know Shadow Palette.
Lip & Cheek: Convertible Color Lip & Cheek in Camellia

TIPS:
Surprisingly, start with mascara. The mascara will open up your eyes and giving you a point where you can stop your cat eye. For the perfect cat-eye, start with lightly getting tracing the outline of your cat eye by using a liquid eyeliner. Once you have your outline then you can darken the cat eye. Use a base eyeliner under the eye to connect with the top of your cat eye line. Then go over the bottom base eyeliner with the smudge eyeliner. To make a dramatic and undone look take a small eye brush and start to smudge under the eye.

Fashion Flashback: Alice + Olivia Fall 2012 Fashion Week

Alice + Olivia know how to throw a party and this past February was no exception. The Fall 2012 fashion show was full of vibrant colors, gorgeous patterns, delicious ice cream courtesy of Magnum and an all around good time. The collection was designed by Stacey Bendet and her vision for the collection was a sexy girl who's also innocent. Displayed were forty four looks and each one more amazing than the previous. The designs were super playful, but yet sexy. The makeup was done by Stila Cosmetics and each model wore a dark lip paired with heavy liner on the lids. The look was sultry and captivating. It was refreshing not to just see a runway show, but to watch with enough time to study and enjoy. I sipped rose champagne, had a few ice bars and took tons of photos. I always enjoyed Alice + Olivia designs before, but I fell in love at the show. There was a perfect blend of patterns, fur, sequins and florals. Then there was evening gowns. A black and white abstract print caught my eye immediately and I was hooked. I can't wait to see what's in store for next season.
