Backstage At Rebecca Minkoff SS13 | New York Fashion Week

Backstage Beauty at Rebecca Minkoff was led by Sarah Lucero, Stila Cosmetics lead makeup artist. The Stila team created a sun-kissed "California" look for Minkoff's Spring/Summer 2013 runway show. The color palette consisted of turquoise, white and blue. Products included Smudge Stick waterproof eyeliner in turquoise, In The Know eyeshadow palette, Convertible Color in Camellia, and Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in Dolce. The smudge stick eyeliner in turquoise was placed on the inner corners and convertible color applied on apples of cheeks.

Lead stylist Jeanie Syfu for TRESemme created a relaxed wave to go along with the California feel of the clothing. This polished version of the beachy wave was created using TRESemme 24 Hour Body Foaming Mousse before blowing drying. Hair was then curled with a 1" barrel iron and then a flat iron was used to straighten ends. Stylists then sprayed hair lightly with TRESemme Fresh Start Volumizing Dry Shampoo. A dime sized amount of TRESemme Smooth & Silky Anti-Frizz Secret Creme was used and raked through the hair from roots to ends.

All models wore Essie's Mint Candy Apple. This color was perfect to represent the collection. It's fun, spunky and eye-catching. I'm a huge fan of this shade and it's a staple in my Spring nail collection.

Rebecca Minkoff's runway show was exactly what you would expect - spunky, flirty and colorful. I'm a huge fan of her fashion line and I'm always excited to see the show.
