Backstage At Naeem Khan Spring 2013 | New York Fashion Week

Backstage at Naeem Khan's Spring 2013 runway show was full of sultry makeup, sleek hair and beaded gowns. NARS Cosmetics Director of Global Artistry, James Boehmer created a stunning look for the show. The trend reported matte skin with glossy, sexy lips. "The designer's inspiration was Wallis Simpson," said Boehmer. "So to make the look more updated, we focused on a glossy, very vinyl-textured lip to contrast the matte texture of the skin."

Neal Moodie for Bumble and Bumble created a chic pony-bun that worked perfectly with the strong makeup. Hair was first blown straight using a flat brush. Hair stylists then used Bumble and Bumble Prep and Bumble Shine Spray to smooth hair. Hair was then placed in a sleek ponytail and double over hiding the ends. Remaining hair was wrapped around the base to create an illusion of no bands or ties.

Patti Yankee, lead manicurist at Dashing Diva used Dashing Diva CoverFX nail strips to create half-moon manicures on models.

Intricate beading on the gowns - How gorgeous are these? I would image feeling like royalty wearing these beauties.
