I can hardly believe its been a little over a year since I started this blog. It all began June 2011 with my first blog post. I can't even begin to thank everyone for all the support and love. It's been an amazing year filled with memories I'll cherish forever. I've got my eye on three products at the moment: Urban Decay's naked foundation, Ciate Nails velvet manicure & Lancome's hypnose star mascara. Urban Decay's naked foundation is said to be weightless and give a luminous finish. The velvet manicure from Ciate Nails (popular for their caviar manicure) promises luxury and innovation. I'm curious about the texture. Lancome's hypnose star mascara is inspired by Betty Boop. The formula gives a glossy gel-like finish and unique brush helps leaves lashes separated, defined and lengthened.

IBS New York International Beauty Show April 2012 In Pictures

The International Beauty Show (IBS) is a professionals-only beauty show. It's not open to the general public. The show's main objective is to educate, in effect opening new doors for beauty professionals. Brands like Moroccan Oil, Arrojo, Conair, Essie, Glo Profesional, Goldwell, Minx Nails, Rock Your Hair, Stila Cosmetics, Temptu, and many more! I attended the most recent show back in April. The Makeup Show New York May 13 & 14, 2012

The Makeup Show holds a special place in my heart as it's the reason I started Beauty in New York City. My first post was all about my first visit to the makeup show. A little over a year ago I started this site as a way to express my love of beauty. It became something so much more.
