The Makeup Show New York May 13 & 14, 2012

The Makeup Show holds a special place in my heart as it's the reason I started Beauty in New York City. My first post was all about my first visit to the makeup show. A little over a year ago I started this site as a way to express my love of beauty. It became something so much more. It's given me the opportunity to meet amazing people, discover a new career path and become a big part of the beauty/fashion community in NYC. Keep reading for my experience this year.

The Makeup Show is a professional beauty industry event. It's the largest PRO-ONLY driven beauty event in the city. The show offers seminars, forums and hands-on workshops for beauty professionals. It's a two day event that is offers 40-60% discounts on your favorite brands. I was invited to attend the press preview that included a fantastic seminar by James Vincent and the after party included these gorgeous models seen below.
