Products of Interest: December 29, 2011

1. Bare Minerals Ready SPF 15 Touch Up Veil: ($22): I'm curious how this product will work on my skin. I used bare minerals on my face for years and then grew tired of it. I've read some good reviews on their new pressed products. (eye-shadows, powders etc.)

2. Smashbox Be Discovered Eyeshadow Palette ($44): This palette reminds me of a Disney princess. I love how soft the colors look and how girly the packaging is.

3. Smashbox Camera Ready BB Cream SPF 35 ($39): The end of 2011 bought about the popularity of BB creams. Immensely popular in Japan, the cream has now become a go to item for many. When the creams first launched, they only came in one universal shade for light to deeper mediums. Now brands have gotten smarter and are launching different shades. I like that this Smashbox one has different shades and a fairly high SPF.

4. Sephora Prisma Chrome Eyeshadow ($15): These new eye-shadows from Sephora remind so much of the texture of Laura Mercier's best selling rose illuminater. I've seen them in person and they're gorgeous. The pigments are great and shadows can be used wet or dry. I haven't decided what colors I wanna pick up just yet.

5. Tarina Tarantino Dollskin Cheek Palette ($45): I've become a huge fan of Tarina Tarantino's line this past year. All her products are insanely pigmented and the packaging is always sturdy and fun. I've become drawn to blush lately and these shades are perfection. I like the idea of a cheek palette from a well-known brand. I already own a cheek palette from Crown Brush, but this is calling my name.

6. Chanel Nail Colors from Spring 2012 Collection ($25 Each): I own tons of cosmetics, but Chanel is one that isn't really seen all that much in my collection. I find their prices to be very high and mostly cause of their name. I've stood away for a while but this new collection has me intrigued. I'm loving these nail colors (especially June, which is the orange-apricot color). I'm on the prowl for the perfect orange and I think I found it.

7. Too Faced Natural At Night Collection ($36): I'm always a fan of new launches from Too Faced. I especially like their palettes for the small size. I like the color range in the palette since it's not just boring browns, which I have a ton of.

8. Laura Mercier Radiance Primer ($30): Laura Mercier is a brand I keep coming back to for complexion products. I recently tried their hydrating primer for winter and quickly became obsessed. I like the idea of a radiance primer for the summer when I want more glow.

Sephora Nail Patch Art in Arrrrr

I've become a little obsessed with minx nails lately. They're just so easy to use and actually wear longer than most nail polish. I'm consistently working with my hands at work, so a normal manicure never lasts more than three days. I came across these leopard nail patches from Sephora and I knew I had to try them. They've very similar to the Sally Hansen ones I already have used.

They wore for over a week and everyone loved them. WIN.

Retail: $12 at Sephora

Have you tried Sephora's nail patch art yet?

Sephora by Opi - Nail Art

I got an email this morning featuring Sephora's new nail art looks. These looks were envisioned with the help of Sophy Robson. Sophy Robson is a premier nail artist in the UK. She has done nails for many magazines such as Vogue (UK, French, Russian & Japanese), Vanity Fair, Grazia, Glamour, Elle and many others.

This collection feature six looks that are "Embellished, Blasted and Animal Print".

The six looks are: Cherry Blossom, Distressed Metal, Glitterati, Wild Giraffe, Punk Cheetah and Purple Moon.

All the looks are AMAZING and super cool. I'd love to try them, but unfortunately I'm a little nail challenged. I can't paint my nails to save my life (seriously...) I might have to make my girlfriend learn and do these looks at me (Yeah right!) Below are all the video tutorials:

Cherry Blossom:

Distressed Metal:

Glitterati:

Wild Giraffe:

Punk Cheetah:

Purple Moon:

Sadly, this look didn't have a video tutorial, but the written tutorial can be seen here

Will you trying out any of these looks?

NYX Cosmetics, Sephora, OPI Mini Haul

I recently stopped by a beauty supply store in the city that I heard had NYX Cosmetics on sale. I decided to take a trip to see what they had to offer.  Here's what I picked up...

Oooo goodies.
I immediately spotted the nude glosses (figures) and shatter polish.

Retail: $5.50 Mega Shine Lipgloss sold at NYX Cosmetics

A nude lipstick (of course!) in 630 - Pumpkin Pie

Retail: $4.00 at NYX Cosmetics

I been on the prowl for a perfect gold shimmer pigment and I found it! PANIC, Chrome Loose Eye Shadow, is the perfect gold shimmer for any collection.

Retail: $6.00 at NYX Cosmetics

More Glitter!! I've become obsessed with anything glitter lately. This color definitely caught my eye. Its called Crystal Silk

Retail: $4.50 at NYX Cosmetics

I've heard great things about NYX Cosmetics eyeliners so I figured I'd give them a try. No complaints over here.

Retail: 608 Cottage Cheese - $4.50 at NYX Cosmetics
931 Black Brown - $3.50 at NYX Cosmetics

I ADORE Nivea Creme for my makeup bag. It's perfectly hydrates hands without leaving a sticky, nasty feeling. Also, it kinda smells like suntan lotion. Yum.

Retail: 99 Cents at Ulta

I spotted this polish right away! I wasn't really into the whole "shatter" nail polish trend as I feel it makes your hands look messy. However, it's growing on me slowly. I was interested in trying this polish with an Essie color I have called Mint Candy Apple.

Retail: $6.99 at Nail Polish Collection

I think it's gonna be super cute.

I just needed a refill on my Sephora Waterproof Makeup Remover. It's one of the best I've ever used and the cheapest at that. My favorite is Lancome's Bi-Facil, but when I'm on a budget this is the next best thing.

Retail: $9.50 at Sephora
