An Interview With Reem Acra | Introducing Her New Fragrance

Before the madness at Reem Acra's New York Fashion Week show, I had the chance to interview the designer about her latest endeavor - the launch of her new fragrance. Sold exclusively at Saks Fifth Avenue, the fragrance is inspired by her childhood in Lebanon where she and her father used to pick amber together. The signature amber note is one you smell right away when sniffing this scent and it takes you back to her younger years. She described the scent as "sexy, mysterious and addicting." Being known for dressing brides, I asked if she saw this as the perfect wedding scent. She replied, "It's perfect for any occasion. I want women to feel empowered when wearing this fragrance." You could really see the passion when she spoke about her childhood in Lebanon and all the notes that remind her of home. Notes of orange blossom, pear, bergamot, jasmine, patchulouli and warm musk leave a seductive scent lingering on the skin. Reem Acra is all about empowering women and with a scent like this one, I feel ready to tackle any day.

Sizes include 1.6 OZ ($90) and 3 OZ ($125) availiable at Saks Fifth Avenue.
