Smashbox Spring Collection 2012 Review + Swatches

It's been an exciting time for Spring beauty trends. We're seeing bold lips, naked skin, fierce brows and hot cheeks. The color of the year is tangerine tango according to pantone. I always get excited when I hear new products are launching from Smashbox. They tend to be the innovators of the industry with new camera ready products perfect for that flawless look.

Camera Ready BB Cream SPF 35 ($39): BB Creams are taking over the beauty industry at the moment. The reason? They cut your foundation time in half. Normal foundations require a primer, setting powder, oil controller and that jazz. BB Creams keep in simple. Smashbox created a five-in-one product that helps achieve flawless skin instantly. Smashbox formulated their BB cream with SPF 35 and it will hydrate, prime, perfect, control oil and protect your skin. It's said to wear for 8 hours. My skin felt super smooth once I applied and found no need for touch-ups. It currently comes in four shades: Fair, Light, Medium, Dark. I tried out the light and it was a bit too light for me, however, it does self adjust so I just added some extra bronzer. I just noticed on sephora.com they do have an exclusive shade in light-medium and I would bet money that would be my perfect shade.

Be Legendary Lipstick in Mandarin ($19): These lipsticks rock my world. Their super hydrating, long-wearing and gorgeous. The shade I received, Mandarin is a sexy "electric coral" that pops for Spring. I definitely recommend picking up a few of these babies asap. You will love them. I've got my eye on pink petal, melondrama, nylon nude, vivid violet, latte matte, chai and posy pink. An added bonus? These are packed with vitamins C & E. Win.

Be Discovered Jet Set Eye Liner & Brush ($22): Smashbox gel liners are amazing. They glide on beautifully and wear for hours. I was a fan of this shade "intrigue" that's described as a dark slate. I would describe it as a grayish, blue tone. It's perfect for a soft gray smokey eye. The brush is perfect for precise application. If you've never tried Smashbox eyeliners, you're missing out.
