Giorgio Armani Rouge D'Armani Sheer Lipsticks Review + Swatches

Giorgio Armani Beauty caught my attention when they launched a new line of lip sheers. These new hydrating lip colors are creamy, lightweight and translucent. The bold color is stunning, but never drying and as hydrating as a balm. The color formulation process features a color shine moisture polymer, which is a revolutionary component able to retain twice its volume of water and enhance color luminosity while locking in hydration on the lip surface for over 8 hours. It comes in three shades of orange, three shades of red, three shades of pink and three shades of purple.

I tested three shades: pink 500, coral 300 & plum 600. The first shade pink 500 ecstasy (seen below) was a gorgeous color. The pink was the perfect not-to-bold pink shade. I was surprised how much I loved this shade when applied. The finish was soft and moisturizing, but wore for a few hours. I'm interested in trying the other two shades in the pink family especially 502.

The next shade, coral 300 Acid Tangerine, is the perfect summer color. I squealed with delight when I opened the package on this one. It's bright and beautiful. The color applied slightly darker on my lips, but still perfect nonetheless.

Plum 600 Bitten follows the trend of purple lipstick. I was nervous about this color since it looked dark in the tube and unlike a color I would normally wear. I was pleasantly surprised. The shade was stunning. It wore on lips like a mauve pink. This shade would definitely work on multiple skin tones.

Rating: A+

Thoughts: A great buy for anyone looking for bold color with a balm-like texture. The shade range will work on multiple complexions and long-wear won't be an issue.
