The One Styling Tool I Can't Live Without

When it comes to hair styling, most women own at least one flat iron and blow dryer. As a curly girl who wears her hair natural often, I’m cautious of the types of heat stylers I use on my hair. It’s important for me to use styling tools that work for all hair types. Like most women, I like to change my hair up often and love a multi-use tool that can help curl, flip, straighten or add volume and body when needed. That’s where the Karmin G3 Salon Pro Hair Styling Iron comes in. It’s perfect for both professional use as well as at home with features such as temperature settings and a tangle-free swivel cord.

Not only does the Karmin G3 Salon Pro heat up fast, it also works extremely well at straightening my fine, frizzy curls. I normally have issues with blowouts only lasting 1-3 days, but I can leave my hair straight for up to 5 days with this tool. The best part is it comes with a 3 year warranty and has curved edges to create the most perfect curves or waves. You can find the Karmin G3 Salon Pro Hair Styling Iron at Karminhairtools.com or Amazon for $159.95.

Special thanks to Karmin Professional for sponsoring this post. All opinions are my own.

Happy Monday, friends! I can't believe the weekend is already gone, but it's time once again to tackle the week. Here are the products I'll be using to brighten up.

Adventures In At Home Laser Hair Removal With Tria, Part 2

This post series is in collaboration with Tria. You can read Part 1, here.

It’s been a little over two month since my last Tria check-in, and I can already see a change in my hair growth. I’ve been using the tool bi-weekly on my underarms and bikini area. To prep, I start with Tria’s SmoothStart Calming Gel. The SmoothStart Calming Gel features an Indian plant extract with anti-inflammatory properties to help diminish the sensation of the laser treatment. It keeps skin cool and comfortable for the best results. After my first month of using, I saw over 50% in hair reduction. After two months of treatment, hair regrowth is thinner and lighter.

What I really love is how easy the treatments are. I’m always on the go and you only need 10 minutes to treat desired areas. To use, you simply place the Tria Hair Removal Laser Precision on the desired location and laser technology targets the pigment in the hair follicle. Follicles are eliminated and the hair begins to fall out, leaving behind only smooth, soft skin.

Adventures In At Home Laser Hair Removal With Tria, Part 1

This post series is in collaboration with Tria.

As the weather gets colder, I tend to get lazier with my beauty routine specifically when it comes to shaving. I don’t know if it’s the cold weather that gets me or the issue of never really having to show bare skin outside. Like most women, I’m over shaving and decided to test the waters in laser hair removal. I looked into a few places that are well known in the city, but the prices were just a deal breaker for me. I’m currently saving for my wedding, and laser hair removal isn't an additional cost I want to add. The beauty tools market is growing daily and I was recently introduced to a new tool, the Tria Hair Removal Laser Precision. Tria is a brand known for their innovative at home beauty tools, so I was immediately on board.

The Tria Hair Removal Laser Precision is hair removal tool designed for smaller sensitive areas of the body, such as the bikini line, underarms, or face. It’s a slim, portable and extremely lightweight design that easily removes unwanted hair permanently. The slim body allows for better control around those hard-to-reach body curves. Prior to testing this new slimmer version, I had tested the Tria Hair Removal Laser 4X (the first FDA-cleared laser available for home use) on my legs and was very pleased with the results. I was happy to see a smaller version targeting more sensitive areas since these are my top concerns. Added bonus: You never have to worry about ingrown hairs, razor bumps or redness again.

So how does it work? We’ll get technical for a moment. Tria Laser Precision is built on the principle of selective photothermolysis. Beams of laser energy are absorbed by the dark pigment in the hair follicle and converted to heat. The laser energy disables the hair follicle, preventing it from growing new hair. This process is most effective on hair in the growth phrase. For best results, it’s recommended to use once every two weeks for three consecutive months.

I've been using the tool on my underarms for a month and can already see a difference in my hair growth. I’ll be sharing more on how to use the tool and an update on my current progress in the next few weeks. Stay tuned!

The Tria Laser Precision is currently available in Dove Grey or Pink Blossom. You can purchase at triabeauty.com, Barneys, Sephora, Bloomingdale’s, Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman, and QVC. Retail price is $299.

Thank you to Tria for sponsoring this post.
