Louboutin Announces Stunning Lipstick Collection

  

The beauty world just got some exciting news – Louboutin is launching a luxe lipstick collection this September! Christian Louboutin shook up the beauty industry last August when he revealed his Rouge Louboutin nail polish collection. Now the beauty line is expanding into lipsticks – at $90 a pop!

The lipsticks will be available in three different textures - Silky Satin, Velvet Matte and Sheer Voile. The Silky Satin lip color collection will include 20 shades, while the Velvet Matte and Sheer Voile lip color collections will include 9 shades. All collections will include a Rouge Louboutin shade (modeled after the classic red sole) in a black casing. All other lipsticks will be in gold casing.

To launch this stunning collection, Christian Christian Louboutin wasn’t inspired by lipstick as an object, but by the attitude it conveys. “When a woman carries a handbag, we look at her shoulders. When she slips on a pair of heels, we observe her walk. If she applies lacquer to her nails, we admire her hands. With its slow circular application, lip make up becomes a rich and sensual gesture. Whether accentuating or mattifying the lips, this little object has the ability to transform the entire face.” He also drew inspiration from many glamorous names, including the legendary Queen Nefertiti of Egypt, whose name literally means "the beautiful one has arrived."
