It's another busy week in the beauty world. From new stores openings to new product launches, it's an exciting time for the beauty industry. Plus, Holiday is inching closer and closer. More on that soon.. but first, let's chat about the newness.

Hourglass Debuts Flagship in LA 1351 Abbot Kinney Boulevard, Venice, CA

Hourglass Cosmetics, one of my all-time favorite brands, opened their newest Flagship in LA. The location is the brands first retail store and matches it's luxury quality. The 1400-square-foot space will carry exclusive merchandise, including a skincare capsule, and offer unique makeup services.

New York Color Announces New Global Brand Ambassador | Demi Lovato

N.Y.C. New York Color has signed Demi Lovato as the brands first-ever global brand ambassador. In her role, Lovato will be featured in global marketing and social media campaigns to support N.Y.C. New York Color cosmetics and nail enamel lines. Her fist advertising campaign will start in 2015. According to N.Y.C. New York Color, Demi emulates their mission to deliver fashionable, innovative, yet budget friendly go-to-beauty essentials. “I’m really excited to be partnering with N.Y.C. New York Color,” says Demi Lovato. “Their products make playing with different looks and trends fun, easy and affordable by all!”

Emily Weiss of Into The Gloss Launches Skincare Collection Glossier

The most exciting beauty news of the week goes to Emily Weiss, founder of the popular beauty website, Into The Gloss. Emily launched a brand spankin' new skincare collection called GlossierThe brand is inspired by real life, and features products that work as everyday staples in your beauty routine. The idea is "skincare first. makeup second." The packaging is playful, yet classy. I'm intrigued by the message and interested in learning more about the skincare ingredients. So far, there are 5 items for sale - Soothing Face Mist ($18), Priming Moisturizer ($25), Balm Dotcom ($12), Perfecting Skin Tint ($26), and finally, the Glossier Phase 1 Set, which includes all products mentioned.
