Backstage At Monika Chiang SS13 | New York Fashion Week

The beauty look for Monika Chiang SS13 presentation was soft and sweet. Lancôme National Makeup Artist Darias created this gorgeous look complete with coral lips and bold lashes. This look described as "young and fresh" featured these key Lancôme products - Lancôme Blush in Love in Pommettes D’Amour (Spring 2013), Lancôme Rouge in Love in Ever So SweetLancôme Baume in Love in Coral Electric (Spring 2013), and Hypnose Star Mascara. Models wore soft browns on the eyes with lashes.

Seen below is the gorgeous new Lancôme Blush in Love in Pommettes D’Amour for Spring 2013. You can either use colors mixed together or individually for a noticeable cheek color.

The coral lip is in again for Spring. I predict coral lips staying around for a quite a while this time.

The completed look applied by Darais. Cheeks was contoured with Lancôme Star Bronzer and lips were topped with Lancôme's signature Juicy Tube in Pure

Backstage hair was led by Leon Gorman for Cutler/Redken Salon. Hair was blown out and then backcombed to create intense volume at the front. The look was sexy, sleek and edgy to compliment the style of Monika Chiang's collection. Products used included - Redken Full Frame Volumizing Mousse, Redken Fashion Work #12 Versatile Spray, and Redken Forceful 23 Super Strength Finishing Spray.

The nails backstage were created by lead manicurist Ana-Maria. Two colors were used - Lancôme Vernis in Love in Rouge in Love and Essie Nail Polish in No Place Like Chrome. Models wore Lancôme shade on full nail and a single stripe of Essie's shade was placed down the middle. Can we talk about how gorgeous that Lancome nail color is? I need it in my life asap.

Are you a fan of this backstage look?

  1. I wanted to know what polishes were used (even though this is from 2013) so thank you for your photos and excellent info! :)
