Laura Mercier Spring 2012 Collection Review + Swatches

Laura Mercier knows how to launch a Spring collection. It screams COLOR! I love the way beauty transcends into Spring. All of sudden pops of color appear on the runway, magazines and then on the streets. Already in New York, I see women with corals on the lips and bold cheeks. You start to see vibrant pinks, bright oranges and playful coral. I was ecstatic when I saw this collection. It has everything you need to get through Spring fully prepared.

Lingerie Eye and Cheek Palette ($60) is a limited edition palette for the eyes and cheeks that features six eyeshadows and two cheek colors. The eyeshadows are a mix of matte and shimmer to create any desired look. The pigments on these shadows are amazing and I love how easy her shadows are to blend. Shadows included are Buff Pearl, Tawny Apricot, Rich Cocoa, Pale Pink, African Violet and Black Plum. The cheek colors are perfection. Rose Desire is a bright pink and Fresh Peach is a soft peach. The price seems a little steep, but not when you realize what you're actually getting. Shadows and blushes are full size.

Creme Cheek Colour in Innocent Peach ($22): is a long-lasting, natural cheek colour formulated to provide buildable coverage for a velvety finish. It's easy to use and creates that perfect natural flush to the cheeks. Innocent Peach is a soft peach color that will work great for Spring!

Sheer Lip Color in Kissed Lips ($22): is a sheer lip color that provides a healthy, natural look. It's infused with the Laura Mercier Lip Complex. It glides on smoothly and gives a soft hint of color. I'm a big fan of these lip colors for that quick hint of color on the lips. Kisses lips is described as a "fresh coral pink."
