Dolce & Gabbana Releasing Makeup Animalier Collection 2011/Summer 2011 Collection

I don't know about you, but I am definitely loving the trend of animal prints this time around in fashion. Everywhere you go there are animal prints everywhere! On bags, clothes, shoes and more. Dolce & Gabbana took it one step further: MAKEUP! The packaging alone is enough to have anyone running into the stores to purchase this limited edition gold metal compact leopard bronzer. It's gorgeous.

This face powder is embellished with a leopard print design and took more than 18 months for Dolce & Gabbana to formulate. The idea behind the product was to invent something new. Dolce & Gabbana is already known for their luxurious packaging normally in gold and this product is no different.

"What I especially love about the Animalier collection is that it is so versatile – there are no rules because the palette is so compatible,” says Pat McGrath, “Whether I choose to emphasize the eyes – smokey eyes are always so fierce, so sexy – or the warm luscious red lips, the look is ultimately pulled together by the fantastic Animalier Bronzer. The bronzer has such an amazing texture – it feels so good – and it creates this fabulous sun-polished glow that is remarkably sensual and that encapsulates what summer means – passion, romance and shedding all inhibitions!” Dolce & Gabbana

Retail: $50 at Saks Fifth Ave

This is definitely the hero product of the line. The packaging on the other items is not leopard themed, but still lovely none the less.

Could Scarlett Johansson be anymore gorgeous?! Honestly!

This product above was released from the Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2010 Collection, but it's still available at Saks. Even though it's an older launch, it still speaks to the luxurious packaging of Dolce & Gabbana. It's a Sicilian Lace Powder Bronzer. Gorgeous!

Retail: $47 at Saks Fifth Ave

Will be you purchasing any products from these lines?

  1. I, too, love the leopard print trend. That bronzer looks gooorgeous, but I don't think I am in the position to chell out 50 bucks for it. Besides, it is so pretty I wouldn't want to use it. I wonder if the design is an overspray or if it goes all the way through the product to the bottom of the pan?

  2. I totally get you. It's a lot for the bronzer and I spoke with one of the makeup artists at D&G and it's really an over spray. The top layer is leopard, but once you use it a few times, it becomes regular.
